- What time do you get up? Depends what is planned for the day -anytime between 5am and 8am.
- What animals do you have? Beef cattle, sheep, goats and hens.
- What do you feed your animals? Silage, hay, grass, straw and corn. Sometimes waste bread, potatoes, fodder beet and grains.
- What is your favourite animal on the farm? I like the cows the best.
- Do you enjoy looking after the animals? Yes.
- What was the first animal you had? A cow.
- How old were you when you first started farming? As soon as I could walk.
- Do you think you will always be a farmer? Yes
- If you could turn back the clock would you still be a farmer? Yes
- What do you like to do in your spare time? I like fishing if I have the time.
- Do you go on holiday? If so – who looks after the farm? Yes – we have friends and relations who look after the farm.
- Did you train at college to be a farmer? My mum enrolled me at college but it didn’t last long – I preferred to go to the markets.
- Are you a vegetarian? No
- What is the worst thing about being a farmer? The paper work.
- Have you any pets? Yes – one dog.
- What time do you go to bed? Usually about 11pm.
- Do you work on Christmas Day? Yes – the animals still need to be fed!
The breakfast was the best we have had for a very long time, there was plenty of choice and it was full of flavour. A fantastic farm stay
